History of Michigan Youth Workers Association
MYWA is a 501C(3) nonproift organization founded in 1968 by Orum L. Trone Sr., minister of the Elmwood Park Church of Christ in Detroit, Michigan. His goal was to establish a ministry that dealt forthrightly and effectively with youth between the ages of 13 and 20, helping them hear and understand the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Serving as advocates for youth, MYWA has grown from a small cadre of devoted parents and friends to become a strong network of youth workers from various congregations across Michigan.
